We are a forest of scars. A footnote on a warning sign, At the foot of a hill at the end of time. A neural no longer works. An extended period of mourning, For an artificial intelligence bereft of spark. All pathways overgrown. All fuses blown. Recycling our inhibitions. Retreading well trodden waters. Not appeased by unfinished thoughts, But a flood all encompassing, throttling the heart. This sterile grave. I am not yet gone, Still rebirth has taken hold. Flowers blossom and adorn my sick smile. I am my own maggot. Consuming myself. Ad nauseum. Self deficient. My wounds may be many. But my wounds are clean.

The smoke ascends to a darkening cloud. The marshland slowly torn and razed. Billowing uphill, blowing grey rings. The cloud grew heavy, it grew weary. Until one day it sang its ashen verse, Over the perpetual, filthy starlight. All hail our cloying grey shroud. The soft rain upon our brow. An old giant Oak was suddenly stirred. It shook off the fallen ash as it stretched its arms. Awoken from a thousand year slumber, It cast its old eyes upon the scene. The giant Oak arched upwards and inhaled the cloud, then retched its grey sadness down into a cave. It crawled into the darkness and carefully shaped it over many years. He sucked in all the poison that dwelt within the aearth. The scourge of the grassland, of the mire and of the bog, Burden of the glistening glade, the sunlit forest. He moulded it into a warhead. The strongarmed giant emerged from the cave. He swung thrice, lunged and projected it into the sky. There the terrible dagger rose above the marshland. It sailed through the air and pierced the cloud. The giant then watched as it arced down towards the place of men.
